At its February meeting the Parish Council approved in principle a programme of fifteen individual projects all derived from the Refreshed Parish Plan approved last year. Those schemes requiring capital expenditure are likely to be funded from the Lassington Reach Section 106 Developers Contributions Agreement which has been set aside for this purpose. A team of parish councillors and volunteers will now be working up each project for implementation over the next two to three years.
Here is a very brief summary:_
A new Lassington Wood Management Plan.
To provide outdoor gym equipment, zip wire and picnic facilities for Highnam Recreational Park.
The completion of the footway around Oakridge is now being passed out tender to local contractors,
Improvements to Highnam Court cricket ground and The Dell and other sporting facilities,
Re-establishment of a Youth Club,
Improvements to public transport,
Establishment of new social club/community facilities,
Enhance the facilities available at Mary Grove,
