The Parish Council is pleased to announce that work on the long awaited new Footpath around Oakridge will start at the end of August. The project, which will be project managed by Tewkesbury B.C on the council’s behalf, has been awarded to Worcester based One Call Construction, a small family run groundworks contractor who specialise in this type of work. The contract will run for ten weeks with completion due by mid November. This scheme forms the major plank of the Parish Plan Implementation Programme, and is funded from Sec 106 community infrastructure works secured from the Lassington Reach development.
The contactors will provide scheme details including actual route, materials to be used, and construction methodology for display and information locally before the work starts. The work will be undertaken in discrete sections , and proper health and safety measures will apply at all times during construction.
